Research Programmes
How will research be developed?
Research within the Alliance is developed in partnership with service users, their carers and nursing midwives and allied health professionals working in multidisciplinary teams to ensure rigorous research outcomes.
Our research:
- identifies, understands and learns from what people already do and try and achieve when caring for their health and managing illness;
- develops and evaluates information, advice and support people can access by themselves;
- develops and evaluates how interactions with nurses, midwives and allied health professionals can be used to enhance self care;
- identifies, understands and develops features of health systems and policies that can enhance self care.
Research is being developed that supports people with cardiovascular disease and with mental health problems.
